An honorably retired Police Corporal and former U.S. Marine, Chris Grollnek has dedicated his life to protecting his community and country. Mr. Grollnek served on the police force from 2003 to 2011, entering as a firearms instructor and patrol officer. Grollnek moved into narcotics at the end of 2005 and was promoted to the rank of corporal in 2007, becoming a supervisor with the McKinney Police Department.
His tenure on the force included five years with the S.W.A.T. Team, during which time he held several training positions, including Team Firearms Trainer and Advanced Tactics Instructor. He retired as a Patrol Supervisor and member of the Tactical Team in 2011.
Prior to joining the police force, Chris Grollnek served with the United States Marine Corps for over 11 years. He enrolled in 1992 and graduated from boot camp as a meritorious Private First Class. Mr. Grollnek received meritorious promotion to all ranks, with the exception of Lance Corporal, before receiving an honorable medical discharge in 2000. Of particular note is his meritorious promotion to Staff Sergeant while serving as Senior Drill Instructor at Paris Island, South Carolina, for which he achieved a first-place ranking among the only 10 Marines per year granted the promotion.
Since retiring from the police force, Chris Grollnek has continued to apply his military and law enforcement expertise as a consultant and trainer with Countermeasure Consulting Group. In this role, Mr. Grollnek offers his expertise in a variety of areas, including security assessment, active shooter response and management, and weapons instruction and employment. Mr. Grollnek also co-founded and serves as Executive Director of Scott's Helping Hands, a resource network created to support those affected by drug abuse, and volunteers 25% of his time to drug rehabilitation programs in his community.
